ANALISIS SIMULASI GAME EDUTAINMENT IDENTIFIKASI ORIENTASI OBYEK GEOMETRI SIMETRIS RADIAL
Abstract
PPeningkatan kualitas hasil pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dengan metode yang lebih menarik dan tidak membosankan bagi peserta didik. Pembelajaran visual mengenali bentuk obyek serupa yang berbeda orientasi dapat dibuat dalam bentuk game yang menarik bagi anak pendidikan pra-sekolah (seperti PAUD) sebagai satu upaya meningkatkan daya tarik peserta didik untuk belajar melalui permainan. Pada penelitian ini, obyek yang ditampilkan berbentuk bujur-sangkar dalam bentuk grid 3x3. Agar ada efek eye catching, tampilan diberi warna berbeda-beda secara acak dan dibuat kontras antara warna muka dan warna latar-belakang. Pengguna sebagai peserta game diberi kesempatan dua kali bermain game dan dihitung jumlah langkah sampai semua obyek mempunyai orientasi yang sama. Dalam simulasi game edutainment ini digunakan cara ubah orientasi obyek melalui klik mouse. Pada kesempatan kedua semua peserta diberikan tips agar jumlah klik lebih sedikit. Hasil analisis perbandingan jumlah klik pada game pertama dan pada game kedua untuk seluruh peserta, memperlihatkan ada peningkatan efisiensi atau jumlah klik menjadi lebih sedikit pada game kedua. Penelitian ini terkait dengan pembelajaran berbasis game (game-based learning) dan serious game dengan penekanan usaha peningkatan motivasi belajar dan meningkatkan daya ingat visual peserta didik.
