STUDI RUANG AKOMODASI PENUMPANG PADA KENDARAAN MINI-MPV DALAM KERANGKA TUGAS KELAS STUDIO PERANCANGAN INTERIOR TRANSPORTASI MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN PEMETAAN RUANG KABIN KENDARAAN
Abstract
Penelitian yang berbasis kelas studio (Studio Learning-based research) dalam perancangan interior transportasi ini berfokus pada pembelajaran mengenai ruang okupansi dalam desain interior kabin kendaraan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan enam belas (16) mahasiswa yang diberikan instruksi untuk memetakan ruang okupansi di bagian belakang kendaraan jenis Mini-MPV berkapasitas 7 penumpang. Tujuan dari pemetaan ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran awal mengenai perbandingan ukuran ruang bagi penumpang di kursi baris ketiga dari berbagai merek Mini-MPV dengan konfigurasi 7 tempat duduk yang banyak beredar di Indonesia. Dalam sesi kelas sebelumnya, mahasiswa telah menerima materi tentang perancangan interior transportasi, termasuk aspek-aspek pemetaan yang perlu diperhatikan, seperti bentuk kontur kursi penumpang, lebar ruang duduk, dan tinggi tempat duduk. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepekaan masing-masing mahasiswa terhadap konsep ruang okupansi dalam kendaraan. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan studi kasus berdasarkan hasil pembelajaran, dengan memilih tiga (3) mahasiswa sebagai sampel untuk bahan analisis. Dari presentasi akhir ketiga responden, ditemukan adanya perbedaan dalam hasil yang disajikan, baik dari segi detail penjelasan, kualitas penyajian data, maupun pemahaman terhadap instruksi pemetaan yang telah diberikan.
