MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI DAN PARTISIPASI AKTIF SISWA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN KATA KATA ACAK BAHASA INGGRIS
Abstract
Kosakata merupakan hal yang penting bagi siswa sebagai langkah awal mereka untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris. Kosa kata penting karena kata membawa isi dari apa yang ingin kita katakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan kata-kata acak dapat meningkatkan prestasi dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam kelas XII IPS 1 di SMAN Pakusari. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan item tes, wawancara dan checklist. Implementasi kata-kata acak dikombinasikan dengan kelompok kecil dan guru memberikan jenis kata acak kepada siswa. Mengacak kata meningkatkan prestasi kosakata siswa pada siklus 2 dari persentase skor siswa pada siklus 1 70 (60%) dan pada siklus 2 ≥70 (80%) dan partisipasi aktif siswa pada siklus 1 75% (60% ) pada siklus 2 (83%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kata kata acak mampu meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa dan partisipasi aktif siswa kelas XII SMAN Pakusari
